Built-in formatting or Unicode fonts?

For bold or italic in a chat, WhatsApp's own symbols are best: they keep words searchable and readable. Copy a style from here when you want a look WhatsApp cannot make, such as cursive or bubble letters, or styled text in your profile name and About, where formatting symbols do not work.
