What makes a symbol aesthetic
Aesthetic symbols are small, light and curvy: they frame or underline words without shouting. Most of them were borrowed from other scripts. ꒰ ꒱ ꒷ ꒦ are Yi radicals from southwest China, ⸜ ⸝ are paraphrase brackets from old manuscripts, ࿐ is a Tibetan ornament, and ⌗ ⌕ ⌯ come from technical keyboards.
Use them as structure: ꒰ ꒱ around a name, ⌗ or ୭ in front of a bio line, a row of ꒷꒦ as a divider between sections.
Compatibility
- Brackets, corners and wavy lines show on every current phone and computer.
- 𓂃 𓈒 𓏸 are Egyptian hieroglyphs and ᯓ is Batak: fine on recent iPhone and Android, boxes on older Windows.
- Name fields in games often reject letters from other scripts; bios and display names accept them.
Questions
Repeat one wavy pattern, like ꒷꒦︶, across a line. Copy one from the combinations or tap the pieces and press Copy all.
